I believe all of creation is telling a story, whispering secrets to us.

It’s so fun to find things in other things, like the layers in a painting. If we look closely we can enjoy that there is so much more going on under the surface, over the surface and relating in between the many faces.

I do believe in a personal God. One that enjoys sending special messages to individuals in big and small ways. Is it possible for a cloud to be formed just for you? Although it may be enjoyed by many, I happen to think it could be formed at a certain time, in a certain way to speak a certain thing just to you. Continue Reading…

Thrift Store Fun!

Sarah Hascher —  June 13, 2012

I love Thrift Stores. It’s like going on a little adventure every time you set foot in one.

If you’ve spent any length of time in a thrift shop, you would discover there are some funny things out there. By funny I mean scary.

Thrift stores are great places to find film wardrobe, props and set dressings. They can also be a great way to humor yourself. Continue Reading…

Are you a wave or a particle? I recently read a description of quantum experiments in which an electron has been measured to determine if it functions as a wave or a particle. What they discovered is that when the electron is measured to deduce wave information, it functions as a wave with rippling effects.

When the electron is measured to determine if it reacts as a particle, it reacts as a particle. It is both particle and wave. The wave properties are not present however, when the particle measuring system is in place.

It’s interesting to me to study the statements individuals are making without talking. There are so many colors, textures and styles of clothes these days. Maybe I’m aware of this because I went to the thrift store today. I love looking through the vast array. Some people find it overwhelming. I tend to feel more overwhelmed when I go to the mall or store where there are many of the same items in different sizes. If I like it, they most likely have my size and that makes it an option. This is too overwhelming to me.

I digress; the purpose of this blog is to have some fun making assumptions about personalities based on wardrobe. Below are a few ways that I have categorized character traits. Maybe it fits, maybe not. Either way, be entertained and see if one of these profiles fits your mood today.

Are you what you wear? Continue Reading…

I was looking for a pair of flip-flops a while back. Most of them don’t fit my narrow feet. I thought, “why not make a pair?” So, I did. I bought one of those soft squishy floor mats, cut up a pair of tights, and made some cool shoes.

Sometimes we take ourselves far too seriously. I am resolving to dive into the ‘why not’s?’ and see what happens. What about you? What’s holding you back?

People pleasing is the surest sign of selfishness.

I discovered this on my quest for freedom. “Can I be real honest with you?”… That preface should never need to be said. I may not tell you that your hair looks bad today; some things don’t need to be said, but some things don’t need to be assumed either. Continue Reading…

I mentioned to a friend this morning over tea, how I wanted to write a book about being a “feeler.” I can see the cover with just the wee top of a butterfly head and its nimble feelers peeking up from the bottom of the book.

She introduced me to a book, “The Highly Sensitive Person.” According to the studies noted, 20% of the population are, what is referred to as, “highly sensitive persons.” I just began to read the book, but I happen to believe that we are all created to be highly sensitive persons. Now, those who are too “together” to be a “feeling” person may take pride in the fact that they do not cry at the drop of a hat or be so sensitive they cannot take criticism. When did being sensitive become a weakness?

My favorite color changes. My favorite song, my favorite pass time, my favorite flower– well, I don’t even know that I have one, actually. Someone asked me that the other day and I didn’t know. Don’t most women know what flower they like? I suddenly felt this opportunity to lay claim to some special flower as being “my favorite flower.” Continue Reading…

Learning to entertain yourself is important. If you are, what I refer to myself as, a “feeler,” it is important to be aware of your surroundings and how you can be the infector of positive atmosphere, as opposed to being the one to bring things down. Continue Reading…

I am guilty of placing too much importance on the big things. After all, I am a dreamer. I dream all the time, whether sleeping or not. In fact, I actually live from my dream reality more often than not. This can be confusing at times. I like to call it faith-and maybe it is, at least a great portion of it.

When what I see in the present world is too small, it’s great to see a far larger one-one in which magical, mystical things are always happening. The propelling factor in all this imagination is the concept of seed. Continue Reading…
