“WHAT???”

That was Jess’ response when I told her the John Gray feature film script was a quarter finalist at BlueCat. That places us in the top 10% of 3391 international submissions. Fer’ real, check it out!

There are two things to keep in mind here:

  1. We never intended to place in the competition; BlueCat provides excellent industry feedback on your script for the low, low price of $65. That alone was our reason for entering.
  2. We’ve since scrapped the version BlueCat is currently judging, and Jess is hard at work on a rewrite that factors in the feedback we did get.

It’s safe to say we’re both deeply honored. At this point we’ve accomplished far more than we set out to do, but hey, wouldn’t it be cool if we made it further into the competition? We’ll find out if we progress to the semifinals on March 1st.
