About ten years ago, I remember when Spider-Man came out in theaters. It was really one of the first comic book movies that set the rest of them into motion. I loved it when it came out because it was fresh and exciting.
However, here we are again ten years down the road with The Amazing Spider-Man. The trailer promised a darker, more intriguing version of the story, which might compel some people to give it a shot. Certainly the darker version of the Batman movies have been an amazing investment of time and money, digging deeper into Batman’s psyche and discovering what it truly means to be a hero.
But will The Amazing Spider-Man prove to be as worthy?
- Which Spider-Man was better, Toby McGuire or Andrew Garfield?
- Was it worth making The Amazing Spider-Man since Spider-Man was so recent?
- Were there enough differences between the movies to still be unpredictable?
- Is a Spider-Man movie really worth seeing without James Franco in it?
